Servings: 250 grams (approx)
  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds (*see notes)
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves loosely packed
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup vegan parmesan (**see notes)
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  1. Add all ingredients to a food processer and pulse until pesto has reached your desired consistency.

Recipe Notes

*Substitute half the hemp seeds with pine nuts for a more traditional tasting pesto.

**Whip up the vegan parmesan using the recipe here, OR instead: use 1/4 cup nutritional yeast in place of the 1 tbsp, and add 1/4 tsp of vegetable stock powder to the recipe.
